As Chief Assessor, the Auditor reappraises all real property every six years and updates values every three years. Manufactured homes get assessed and registered through this office too. The Auditor records deed transfers, manages homestead exemptions, tracks oil and gas wells, and handles special assessments for all real property in Auglaize County. The office disburses about 12,350 warrants (checks) per year. The Auditor also sits on the Board of Revision, which hears property value appeals, and serves as secretary to the County Budget Commission.
