How to Search Pickaway County Property Records

Start on the Auditor's website. Click the SEARCH link or use the search bar. Type in what you know. A name works. So does an address or parcel number. The system pulls up matching records fast. Each result gives you the full picture: owner name, mailing address, legal description, land value, building value, and total assessed value. You can also see the tax district, school district, and any special levies that apply to that parcel.

The GIS map tool is good for visual searches. Zoom in to a neighborhood and click any lot. The map shows parcel lines, aerial photos, and links to the full record card for each lot. You can toggle layers on and off to see different data. Keep in mind that these maps show approximate boundaries for tax purposes only. For exact property lines, you need a licensed surveyor.

Sales reports under the TOOLS section let you pull up recent transfers in any area of Pickaway County. This is helpful if you want to know what properties have sold for in a given township or school district. The conveyance calculator helps estimate transfer fees when buying or selling land.

Note: Pickaway County property search results display both market value and assessed value at the 35% rate required by Ohio law.
